Westchester's group-practice landscape
Westchester has one of the largest pools of licensed clinicians in New York. As of July 1, 2026, the Office of the Professions counted 2,543 licensed clinical social workers with Westchester County addresses, more than any county outside New York City, Nassau and Suffolk (NYSED LCSW statistics).
Outside White Plains, much of that workforce is in small group practices spread across the river towns, the Sound shore and northern Westchester: an owner, two or three associates, maybe a psychologist who rents a room for testing. That shape, several clinicians sharing one brand, is where per-clinician software pricing gets expensive.
Three Westchester workflows in Prexella
1. Growing a group without growing the software bill
A practice owner in Westchester often brings on LMSWs working toward their LCSW, or a part-time LMHC for evening hours. Prexella is priced as one flat fee for the practice, so each new associate adds a calendar, not a seat charge. Every clinician's sessions, forms and superbills sit under the practice's single white-label brand.
2. School-year recurring slots
Families with adolescents tend to want the same after-school slot every week from September to June. Move a client onto a recurring weekly slot and Prexella holds that day and time, sends a reminder the day before each session, and lets the family reschedule a single week from the portal when a game or exam gets in the way. Past dates can never be booked, and the server checks every slot so two clients cannot land in the same hour.
3. Superbills that match how Westchester employers insure
Most Westchester clients are on employer plans, often from large Manhattan employers. Out-of-network clients get a superbill built from their completed sessions, with the practice's NPI and EIN, each clinician's New York license number and the CPT codes the clinician confirms, including 90847 for family sessions.
Running it day to day
The practice owner sees every clinician's upcoming sessions, unsigned forms and low credit balances from one dashboard. Associates see their own calendar. Clients see your practice name on the booking page, the portal and every email.
What Westchester practice owners ask first
"Can each associate have different session types and fees?" Yes. Each session type has its own length and price. An LMSW associate can offer a lower-fee individual session while the owner offers couples and family sessions at a higher rate, all from the same booking page.
"Who sees what?" The owner sees the whole practice: every upcoming session, unsigned forms, credit balances and income in Finances. Clients only ever see the practice's name and their own records in the portal.
"How do we handle a psychologist who rents a room for testing?" Testing codes 96130 to 96139 can go on superbills as separate lines with units, next to therapy codes, with the psychologist's New York license number and NPI in the billing settings.
"Can we stop typing intake forms into a chart?" Intake, informed consent and the privacy notice are filled in and e-signed by the client in the portal before the first session, and the signed copies sit on the client's record with the full audit trail.
"What if we already use something else?" Most Westchester groups move in one billing cycle. See how to switch for the order, and the social workers page for the profession view.

Frequently asked questions
We have offices in Scarsdale and Mount Kisco. Can one Prexella account cover both?
Prexella runs one calendar and one booking page for the practice. Clinicians block the hours they are at each office, and clients choose in office or telehealth when they book. Separate office addresses on bookings are not a built-in field, so most multi-office practices name the location in the session type.
Can I add a part-time associate without paying for another seat?
Yes. Prexella is one flat fee for the practice, quoted on a demo call, so adding a part-time LMSW or LMHC does not change the bill.
Do Westchester clients need an app?
No. Booking and the client portal work in any browser on a phone or computer, on your practice's own domain.
